The sunset from Belle Isle was perfect. Belle Isle was used as a camp for Yankee prisoners during the Civil War. By 1863 nearly 10000 men were held here. I wonder if the sunset looked the same for them. |

Serving in the Civil War was a little bit like being on tour; away from home for a long time and in a new place each week. |
